Chelsea Camp Directions

Postby Rorik » Mon Sep 15, 2008 11:05 am

I have reposted this from Doug's other post:
Kurzak wrote:We have a camp. You can be there anytime after 4pm Friday and we must be out by 1pm Sunday. We are also going to try and get the camp for October.
It is called Cedar Lake Camp and is part of the MUCC.

To get to the camp you take 94 (east or west) to exit 157 (Pierce Road) head north (strait) on Pierce. Drive past Cavanaugh Lake road. The Camp will be less then a mile past Cavanaugh Lake on left. Cedar Lake Camp. It is about 20 mins west of Ann Arbor.

There will be plenty of room for us so bring lots of new people if you can.

Here is a link to Google Maps with it zoomed up on the tavern building. The pictures are from before they put the shower buildings in. If you pan to the Southeast you will see the sleeping cabins. Following the road to the West and a little North you can see the "C" Cabins.

Someone remind me and when I get some more time I'll "borrow" the images from Google and make up a map with labels on it and whatnot!

To give those who haven't shown up an idea on the layout of town.

Look likes a much bigger site. Does this place have heat or should I pack for chilly nites?

Nope on the heat. Last event it wasn't an issue because the low was 75. This one might get a bit chilly.

FYI: They are in the process of putting heaters in the buildings. Heaters are in but no gas lines are hooked up yet. Maybe next year we will have heat.

Actually, it's supposed to get into the higher side of the 70s this weekend during the days! But Friday night is supposed to be a little under 50 and Saturday night only some over 50. Still, that's not so cold. Everyone remember to bring SLEEPING BAGS!
