It is the third month in the new year of 109 C.R.
As the magic swelled, we met in the land of Lord Tomhas. Our guild, Silverleaf, was awaiting news of someone who could help our newest member, Zookie, acquire access to a Zirc mine. As we mingled with others from our old townhome of Broken Willow, Bane came with a contract. Willow was trapped in a shade cave and asking for help. The town, including Silverleaf, quickly gathered to go to his aid. We fought several dark shades before rescuing Willow and teleporting out. Silverleaf's leader, the Sultan Deraj, demonstrated his skill in battle by destroying three dark shades with a single spell! It was an amazing sight to see. Upon our return, candles were lit and the majority of us rested. While we did so, a half-sidhe, Rallen, teleported in with two servants. He owned a zirc mine, and made a deal with Zookie to allow her access to it's riches. The Sultan also made arrangements with him, bartering his research and magical knowledge to get myself two new High Titanum swords.
At sunrise the following day, Cid joined us as, together, the majority of the town's people set out to lay to rest a long standing dispute in the Garden of Stone. When we arrived, all the gargoyle statues were awake and attacked us in force. The fight was long and hard, but Cid and Keverian ran towards the main statue and fed it the necessary components to heal it, many high levels of Creation. Upon receiving them, the statue was coated in a liquid metal that healed it's wounds. White liquid from the statue poured into the fountain basin; poisonous, Cid said. As this happened, the rest of the gargoyles in the Garden ceased all attacks and became still. We all converged at the main statue, now healed, and Keverian told us to sheath our weapons. The male half of the statue was moving and responding to Cid's questions, and told us that it was alright; we had done a good job. The statue motioned to Alyssa, and he told her that there were more broken statues that needed help. We were to search Bane out, and he could tell us where to find them. Alyssa asked if the statue could open a gate for us to return home. The male statue nodded and indicated that this could only be done once. He turned to the female half of the statue, who moved for the first time, and she opened a portal that led back to the tavern that we had gathered in. Cid stepped up to the female statue, and gave her his ever-blooming flower, which she clutched to her chest. The rest of the night remained peaceful and quiet, though we started to wonder, with new lords to answer to, would this be the calm before the storm?
